Happy Valentines Day!

Ahh my little loves!
On this Valentines day I am grateful for my little Valentines! I love them so much!

Mommy daughter DATE!

Ahh Miss Bailey!
What a fun tradition we have started! The mommy and Daughter date! Daddy and Alex went to see Star Wars in the theater and Bailey and I went shopping.. pedicures.. and to Chinese dinner (Bay's FAV!)
I was a little post night shift hungover but I was so excited to take my little girl out for some mommy time. I have never gotten to do this yet and it proved to be a lot of fun.. a little expensive but still worth every minute!
First we went to Justice for girls..I had never stepped foot into such a 8 year old heaven! Teeny bopper music was playing, glitter clad cloths were EVERYWHERE.. jewelry, shoes, toys. Bailey was in absolute heaven! She tried on cloths, we picked out some outfits, shoes, jewelery. I spent more money than I ever anticipated but got some adorable clothing. Next was the nail salon! Ahhh.. pedicures are the best! Bailey soaked up some pampering and even talked me into getting her a full set of glitter tip nails. Oh my deary was she excited! The little ladies at the nail salon pawned over her like she was a princess! Finally, you cannot have a date without dinner! Bailey chose to go eat at a Chinese restaurant. She LOVES Chinese food and was secretly trying to get her to take her to the mall because she wanted a phone. After all.. she was getting spoiled why not shoot for the moon! Unfortunately for her we didn't go to the mall or get her a phone.. but she was still happy with her new fancy cloths, her long beautiful nails and a belly full of orange chicken and lo mien. She made me laugh the whole time because she was non stop talking. I hope to have more daughter dates in the future and hope she never stops talking to me! I cannot believe how much she had grown up and continues to.

Happy 36th Birthday Craig!

Happy Birthday Craig! Your actual birthday on January 19th wasn't very exciting.. we ended up going to a neighbor's funeral (so sad) And I worked the night before and your actual birthday. We celebrated in style though on Friday the 13 by going to the IMAX Mission Impossible! Love you! Hope 36 brings you everything you wanted and more!

Christmas 2011

Merry Christmas!
I was having a hard time blogging about this Christmas because It ended being a "let" down. This materialistic holiday is usually one of my favorite. I love spoiling my kids and work for months on finding the perfect presents that are unique and amazing! All that preparation and work up turned up to be my downfall. The kids were spoiled, I made a nice Christmas breakfast, and Craig and I were both home so I was really excited. Bailey ended up complaining about the breakfast, Craig was really tired so went back to bed after the opening of the gifts so It seemed like he wasn't even there. Alex was really cute and thankful for his gifts and was my Christmas miracle. He would open a gift and come show it to you and say "thank you!, I wub you! Bailey seemed uninterested in her gifts. I had found a makeup boom box for her and a really cool nail set that I was really excited to give her. She opened it and put it aside without a second glance. My parents came up early for breakfast and present opening and it was going well besides Bailey telling me my breakfast was gross. Craig got up from his nap and in a daze got ready for work. In his tired stupor he backed our car out of the garage right into my mom's car. Craig left, my dad went out to examine the damage. I called our insurance and was about to have a full blown bawling fit. Great, what else could happen!? My parents left shortly after that..Merry Christmas! The kids and I settled into our mess of presents and I tried to dish up some pie and turn on a movie to settle down. Bailey said. "hey where is MY spoon" and I lost it. I started crying and couldn't stop. The day had been such a disaster.
I wonder if I was being taught a lesson. Lets just hope that Christmas of 2011 doesn't repeat itself.

Christmas lights

I LOVE Christmas lights.. and so I drug the family downtown to LOVE them with me! The kids thought riding the new TRAX line from Daybreak to downtown was much more exciting than walking around in the freezing cold looking at trees. Family togetherness.. they have to deal with it! No really it was fun. Craig had the night off too so we held hands and kids and walked downtown listening to Christmas music and it even snowed! The orange and pink tree was my favorite! Alex loved seeing the horses pulling the carriages. Bailey just loved eating at Applebees. For a skinny thing that girl can eat!

Happy 8th Birthday Bailey Bug!

This little guest to Bailey's birthday party caused quite a commotion! The bird flew in the house and made 8 little girls scream bloody murder! It flew from the kitchen to the star on the Christmas tree for about 20 minutes until we got it out!

Happy Birthday my baby girl! 8 years old! WOW! I can still remember looking over at you in your bassinet at the hospital thinking I was getting away with something! Taking this beautiful girl home as my own! Woohooo! Well you are mine! And I still have a good time getting to know you! You are far more emotionally complex than I feel I am, and I have a hard time figuring you out sometimes. I guess that is the joy of growing up together you and I. You as my daughter and me as your mama! Your longest friend, Miss Mallory Jorgensen. You two are 10 days apart and have been playing together since you were just a couple months old!

Your ham bone of a brother sneaking kisses from your school friend Grace. Sher Bear in the back round doing a fantastic job on glitter toes for the girls!

Blowing out the candle on your cupcake! You and your friends had chocolate mustaches from the chocolate fountain.

Me and my Bay bug. You are the most beautiful thing I have ever done! You are smart, sassy, sweet sometimes, really nasty other times! You are a lot like your Daddy.. moody and shy. I love you SO much and cant wait to see what 8 years old brings!

Tonsils and Adnoids..bye now!

On Novemeber 4th my baby boy had surgery (sad face) After getting sick all the time and having croup with every runny nose we took Alex to a ear nose and throat doctor. He suggested we rip those babies out!
Despite a lot of anxiety about the whole thing Alex did great! He was really excited to play with all the new toys and get attention from all the new people. He didn't like taking medicine or getting into "hospital" jammies but loved his hospital buddy, coloring with markers and riding around in the cars. My little bubba woke up really grumpy but after I picked him up he settled down and fell asleep. The nurse asked Alex when he woke up if he wanted a Slurpee, Mr. Man said "no thank you, my tummy is hungry for mac and cheese". Who eats food after a tonsillectomy! Oh that's right.. my son!
So glad it is over~ the hospital expierence was smooth, it was the next four days that were really challenging. I am happy to report that he is back to being his old self again! Eating and talking up a storm! His voice is actually a lot more clear and he is easier to understand! Another plus.. no runny nose yet!
